Sazerac

Ingredients
-
1/2 oz. Absinthe
-
1 1/2 oz. Rye Whiskey
-
.5 oz. Cognac
-
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
-
2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
-
1 sugar cube
-
1 lemon twist
Steps
-
In an old fashioned glass, add 1/5 oz. Absinthe, rinse (swirl around), and dump.

In a mixing glass, add 1 sugar cube
-
Add 2 dashes Angostura Bitters and 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
-
Muddle until sugar cube breaks apart
-
Add 1 1/5 oz. Rye Whiskey and 1/5 oz. Cognac
-
Add ice and stir 20-22 times
-
Strain contents into absinthe rinsed old fashioned glass
-
Garnish with lemon twist
-
Serve neat (no ice)
